Thank you to those who attended the April 2023 conference at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Lake Buena Vista South. You made this conference a success!
The Conference Planning Team (CPT) is using your evaluation feedback to plan our 2024 conference. We will use our web pages to keep you updated on our progress as we incorporate your input into the plan for next year.
If you have any additional comments or suggestions as planning proceeds, please send to ConferenceQuestions@fahq.org.
We will be returning to the Embassy Suites, Lake Buena Vista South. Please see how we are addressing your feedback to improve the experience in 2024.
Feedback on conference facilities at our host hotel: Conference facility feedback in the evaluations was overwhelming positive with a few areas identified for possible improvement that CPT is using as we negotiate with the hotel for 2024.
Feedback on food service during conference: We received consistent feedback that the food service during the conference was excellent, but there were a few suggestions for possible improvement here too. The ideas submitted will be considered as options when budgeting for the 2024 conference.
Feedback on hotel guest rooms and guest services: Some staying at the hotel shared comments regarding quality, comfort and cost of the guest rooms. We are working with the Embassy Suites, Lake Buena Vista South to host our 2024 conference. Please see details below on how we are addressing your suggestions for improvement.
FAHQ will continue to offer both Florida Board of Nursing credit as well as credit for the complementary Florida Boards: Respiratory Care, Dietetics/Nutrition, and Licensed Midwifery. We are exploring whether we can expand the list of complementary board credit offered.
We will also continue to offer pre-approval of the entire conference for CPHQ recertification, awarded by the National Association for Healthcare Quality. For CPHQs – NAHQ currently requires eight of your 30 recertification CEs be from NAHQ-approved CE.
CE Hours: Our 2023 Conference provided 6.5 hours for Pre-Conference, 7 hours for Conference Day 1, and 6 hours for Conference Day 2. We received some comments about the length of the day on Friday, which will be considered as we plan the number of presentations (and CE offered) for that day.
