Following the current evidence to evaluate how your program addresses screening, intervention, communication, and documentation. Intrinsic and extrinsic elements associated with falls and fall related injuries will be included in the presentation. This gap analysis will support future goals for educational and risk strategies into the next year.

Objectives:  Participants will be able to:

  • Describe core elements to be included in a comprehensive fall and injury prevention program
  • Evaluate the unit/system screening procedure/protocol/policy
  • Determine documentation deficits
  • Identify potential gaps in practice related to intervention components
  • Assess the individualized patient centered plan of care
