AWARDS – Run nomination process for FAHQ Awards. Select Outstanding Healthcare Quality Professional and Outstanding Author based on nominations. Create/order recognition certificates as determined by FAHQ Board for organization service, e.g., team members. Order plaques for presentation at Annual Conference. Investigate and develop criteria for potential new awards to recommend to Board.

BYLAWS - Review and maintain current bylaws for the association. Present suggested changes to Board for vote by January. Provide required membership notices.

CONFERENCE PLANNING - Plan and produce Annual Conference, including speakers, budget, menu, promotion, registration and all on-site arrangements.

MARKETING - Develop and carry out plan to help meet the strategic goals of FAHQ. Activities may include building membership, creating press releases, branding/public image, increasing public awareness, celebration of National Healthcare Quality Week, creation of video.

MEMBERSHIP – Membership management, including membership database, membership retention, assessing membership needs, determining need for new membership categories or benefits to recommend to the Board.

MENTORING - This team will study the feasibility of establishing a mentoring program through FAHQ. If deemed feasible, will set standards and P&P for program operations, and recruit people to serve as mentors.

NEW QUALITY PROFESSIONAL – FAHQ is investigating ways to help people enter the healthcare quality field. This may be importing classes to Florida or creating our own one day course, resources for our website, etc.

NEWSLETTER – Produce monthly e-newsletter, Florida Quality News. Write articles, help solicit contributors, review/edit articles , develop themes for issues as appropriate.

NOMINATIONS - Solicit nominations, prepare and conduct annual Board elections. Help identify people to serve in FAHQ leadership roles. Help establish nomination/election policies and procedures.
Paulette McKernan
SPEAKERS BUREAU – Team will identify and recruit experienced speakers and topics who are willing to present without fee at regional meetings and possibly in our webinar series. Will maintain information on the website Speakers Bureau page.

WEBSITE – Responsible for website content, updating information, identifying information to share with members, writing or recruiting contributions to special pages such as Recognition and Tools of Trade, researching and suggesting new website concepts/ideas for Board review, working with contracted Webmaster on implementing changes. Also oversees FAHQ LinkedIn site. Technology experience not needed (we outsource techno part of website to our beloved webmaster Chuck Swain!).
